I would imagine that it will be hard to work out all the kinks until they get some cars on the road. Reliability is definitely an issue with new tech though. There needs to be more companies developing this technology.

From reading that it sounds like Tesla has case. This seems more of the same with auto makers trying to blackball any attempt made at real, marketable e-cars.

Tesla is full of it. They're known far and wide to have massive reliability problems. There's probably a reason Tesla sent a handful of techs and two different cars to Top Gear.

Thanks, I did not know that.
It’s not like the entire Top Gear crew isn’t known for exaggerating to make a point. I didn’t take Jeremy’s “55 mile range” claim seriously.
