If after all this you're not taken back just a pinch about this year's QB class in how the top teams are trying to trade for QBs rather than just drafting one, then I don't think you're being objective.

I've was a Geno guy sometime back but then it became clear the Chiefs are not going that direction. So I moved on.

Certainly scouts & GM see something a lot of people on this board do not. I don't know what it is but that's the situation.

The same thing happened in 2010.

People in this forum were enamored with Jimmy Clausen. I got swept up in it as well. When the Chiefs passed at 5, it was unclear whether it was Pioli's doing or that Weis didn't trust him and so on. But when he dropped into the second round, it was clear that the NFL front offices knew more about Clausen than anyone in an internet forum.

And to date, Clausen hasn't proven them to be wrong.

Umm the majority wanted Eric Berry in 2010 not Clausen. It was when he fell to the second round when the shit got busier on him.

It sucks I have wanted the team to draft 3 QBs over the last decade or so, and each ****ing time we have traded for a backup QB - 2001 Brees, 2009 Sanchez and this year Barkley/I would have accepted Geno as well.

I remember that a ton of people wanted Clausen at 5. I don't remember the percentage, so it may have been a majority for Berry.

Brees still kills me. Sanchez would have been a wash with Cassel but it's possible that the second rounder that year could still be on the roster.

It's too bad that Barkley was hurt.
