Crimes Against Humanity in MTD's latest mock.

MockingtheDraft.com's live draft is ongoing this week, and about two rounds in.

32 team owners, seven rounds. Trade ups and downs were allowed.

Last time, the Chiefs rep traded down out of the first completely with this haul:

Quote:
2.44: NT Alameda Ta'amu, Washington
3.75: OLB Jonathan Massaquoi, Troy
3.76: WR Ryan Broyles, Oklahoma
4.108: ILB Vontaze Burfict, Arizona State
5.139: OT Andrew Datko, Florida State
6.172: SS Winston Guy, Jr., Kentucky
7.203: FB Terrance Ganaway, Baylor
7.223: OG Rokevoius Watkins, South Carolina

Plus they'll have two 1sts and two 2nds in 2013.
Whomever represented the Chiefs has committed a hideous crime against humanity.

Chiefs stayed at #11: NT Dontari Poe, Memphis.

As if that wasn't bad enough, they then traded up. And gave away the farm to do so.

They moved from the #44 pick in the second round to the Steelers' #24 pick.

Gave away their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks to do so.

For.............

wait for it................

ILB Donta Hightower, Alabama

Well, at least he didn't take Decastro or Kuechly at #11.

And while I hate the poe pick, a 3rd and 4th isn't alot to turn your second pick into a first twenty slots up. Atleast they didn't cough up a first rounder next year.

Interesting though.

If we hadn't moved up (draft is currently four rounds deep):

1. OLB Whitney Mercilus, Illinois
2. CB Alonzo Dennard, Nebraska
3. DE Jared Crick, Nebraska
4. QB BRANDON WEEDEN, OKLAHOMA STATE (who hasn't been drafted yet)

Instead, here's the entire Chiefs draft haul through four rounds.

1. NT Dontari Poe, Memphis
1. ILB Donta Hightower, Alabama

Poe and Hightower as your top 4 picks is not only bad, it's humiliating.

The first four rounds would be quite nice. Weeden in the fourth? Yes, please. And Merciless, Dennard and Crick at that point? Pretty freaking good. (Although, Billy Winn of Boise State would be a better pick than Crick. Winn absolutely destroyed people this past season.)
