If Khan and Lime do not make it out of this heat, I will lose all faith in the system.

Your pic of Casablanca doesn't even have Major Strasser in it.

Look, I love Casablanca. You won't really find a bigger fan of it than me. But Strasser was just an ordinary dick Nazi. He didn't make the movie. Hell, I'm not sure he even had five minutes of airtime in the movie, total. His best line in the entire movie is "Perhaps you have already noticed that life is cheap in Casablanca." Unless, fo course, you like "Hello, hello, get me the radio tower."
As a bad guy, he isn't exactly up there with Norman Bates, Hans, the Emperor, Khan, and the all time movie bad guys. |

So here's some random crap list put together by God knows who of the top 100 villains.
http://digitaldreamdoor.nutsie.com/p...ovie_vill.html STrasser is 72nd. I didnt' look at the whole list, but I think to have him above Gollum (LoTR), Commodus (Gladiator), Booth (In the Line of Fire) and, especially Stanfield (Leon) is a total joke. Those were fascinating characters and in some cases the plot really revolved around them to a great degree. By the end of the movie you really, REALLY wanted those bastards to get theirs. Strasser just isn't anywhere near that same league, IMHO. Last edited by Amnorix; 07-21-2010 at 02:18 PM.. |
