...I caved. It's fun. I got it home and actually stood at the back door waiting for the dog to bark incessantly. I couldn't wait to use it. Does that make me bad? I don't really care.

Be careful. If your dog is at all smart, he'll learn to associate that collar with the shock. You pretty much have to leave it on all the time, or he'll see no-collar time as free for all time.

I had to put shock collars on my dogs neighbor complained to the HOA. That my dogs barked during the day. Well couple days of them wearing them and it's was much like Jenny said BARK BARK [Shock] and then silence.

After a while one of my dogs kinda figured them out and would BARK [pause] Bark [Pause] and so on. That said the collars worked. I know because the neighbor that complained put a note of thanks on my carport.
