Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

Like he did Spygate you mean? That whole argument makes no sense.

And this whole thing might have been an NFL string, which would be rather unprecedented in sports, to be honest.

Anytime the NFL is dealing with enforcement issues, it becomes amateur hour. It's too bad that reputations are sullied on the basis of unsubstantiated reports. Doubt has been thrown on just about everything we've learned, including whether the balls were 2.0 PSI under, or more like 1.0, which is a pretty damn significant difference.

And we have reports that the investigation/sting operation is led by an NFL guy whose father was President of the Jets, and who himself as with the Jets front office when Belichick walked out on them. Axe to grind? Nah! Let's believe whatever they leak to whomever they leak it to!!

Of course, the haters have jumped to judgment, but waiting for the NFL to say something more than "we're investigating" is far more prudent. Not that they should really be trusted them to investigate much of anything.

For sure? We don't know for sure. One of the many problems I have with this rush to judgment.

One report said 11 out of 12 lost 2.0 PSI. A more recent report said that it was closer to 1.0 PSI, and it's not at all clear how many of the balls lost what, in terms of PSI.

We're waaaay short on facts.

FOX's Jay Glazer reports the NFL has identified a Patriots locker room attendant as a "strong person of interest" in the ball-deflation scandal.

The league finally has its Ollie North. Per Glazer, the attendant "allegedly took balls from the officials' locker room to another area on way to the field." There is reportedly video of the incident. Glazer says the league is "still gauging if any wrong doing occurred." It's been obvious from Day 1 the Pats were going to set up some sort of underling as the fall guy, the only question is if he'll sing. The entire "scandal" is long past played out. It would be a shame were it to dominate all pre-SB chatter.

Helloooooooo scapegoat.

What's absurd is all these leaks by the NFL. They really need to get some control around their process. The story is running them, and making them look ridiculous.

And that's exactly why the Patriots will continue to do absolutely everything to win (including bending/breaking the rules) and will continue to. Why wouldn't you?

Except this is NOT remotely close to what Belichick did on Saturday.

Sucks all this deflated ball BS is taking away from that fact that Luck and the ****ing Colts got their asses kicked.

Yep it was the ball pressure that made them choke in such an epic manner.

Really? How do you come to this conclusion from him trying to hold a physics class Saturday and completely denying any knowledge and more of less saying "talk to Brady" in the first press conference?

Sure seems like a tailor made situation for a fall guy. "I didn't know anything, Tom didn't know anything, must have been a rogue employee." Regardless, the NFL, once again, screwed up by not having this handled last week. It will go on until after Sunday. I can't see any way they call Brady in for a chat this week.

The lone gunman. The lone locker room attendent I am sure must have acted on his own accord. He could not possibly have been ordered to do such a thing? Surely not, in NE?
