I won't be able to play again until the weekend...
Upcoming, the preseason debut of QB Mike McMahon, #3 pick HB DeAndre Samuels, and the re-vamped Chiefs defense versus the Chicago Bears and Priest Holmes... |

Parker, I think I will try your settings when I get Madden. In the meanwhile, do you know where I can get some good settings for NCAA 05? Ones that have been thoroughly researched like you and your friends did with Madden.

So where did you get those settings? I know you said you didn't have NCAA 05 yet. One thing that I find really annoying in 05 is that the CPU teams can't kick/punt worth a crap. Heh, now that I think about it, I actually had to raise the human kicking as well. With a good kick I couldn't even hit 40 yard FGs.

Those settings came from AustinWolv, who is a moderator over there -- great guy and solid slider tester. His were derived from another respected member named Rack. |

Yeah, punt and kick returns are very tough in NCAA 05, too.

Well, I used all those settings that you provided, Parker. I was already finishing up my 3rd season as the Jayhawks. My team is a pretty decent team but it's no dominant powerhouse or anything. I'm ahead of Texas A&M in the Big 12 Championship game 20-6 at halftime. Should've been Texas but they couldn't beat A&M in the regular season. Speaking of that, there's another thing I don't like about NCAA. For example, Oklahoma is struggling just to make a bowl game. WTH?

Ok, well TAM made some adjustments and played much better in the 2nd half. Final score KU 27 TAM 22. I did miss a couple FGs, though. This ought to be much more challenging next season. Now for the National Championship game.

I bumped up the AI for everything for KSU's 2008 season. I've had a hell of a recruiting class the past few years, and we won our first National Title last year in 2007. Right now im on All American with the AI things you've adjusted, except I didnt mess with the penalties.
First game..KSU vs 1AAEast 77-0 Second game KSU vs Memphis 69-7 I've got a hell of a wide receiver though that has been my entire offense...he has had 560 yards receiving so far. Other than that, its been somewhat challenging, but I haven't been playing any good teams yet. Memphis was challenging at first, but I pulled away. I'm looking forward to my next game, vs Ball State..which should be another offensive show. |

Well, Ball State gave me a bit of a challenge. They played some tight defense, and I couldn't get much done against it. Many 3 and outs...but eventually they made some mistakes on offense and I capitalized off turnovers.
It was a very windy game (30 mph) and that had alot to do with it. KSU 38 Ball State 13 Next up, Miami (OH). |

I want to see what kind of challenge you get when you start facing some better teams. So far, the blowouts look realistic -- you are playing pretty bad teams...
