You can use a plastic "Ball Cap Buddy" and wash them by themselves in the top rack of your dishwasher. Be careful if the hat is wool. If wool, wash it in the washing machine (in a ball cap buddy) with woolite on gentle setting.
In the dishwasher, don't use any soap with lemon or orange or whatever, that's bad for the fabric. Use the quick wash setting. Don't put any dishes in either, just the cap. |

The ball cap buddy in theory sounds like a good idea... how does it work in REALITY though? It seems like it will **** up the crown of the hat or something...

I've used one. It doesn't damage the bill. I just use a tiny bit of soap. Take it out and hang it up when it's done.
