Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

It's still really not safe though. If you need to clear the gun,you have to hold the trigger, release the mag, then rack the operating rod to clear the round that is in battery, once again, all while holding the trigger,so the round in battery doesn't go off. It is ATF legal

Probably a long shot......

But does anybody happen to know where to find a reasonably priced replacement stock for a Remington Sportsman 512 .22? It's an oldy, and I'm not finding shit online other than a $150 one from a small time gun shop with a website created by a chimp. Including shipping, it would probably cost double what the gun is worth.

Anybody happen to have an idea? Thought it might be worth a shot. Thanks.

You're part of a long line of positive stuff I've read on this weapon, its like 4-1 positive reviews so far, two things I love a lot about it is the ammo versatility and cost, its an extremely affordable, but quality, handgun.

I can't decide if this is necessary. I already own a Benelli for work so this would be strictly for home defense and fun.

So I took the mini out to lake city today, and couldn't hit the damn paper at 25 yards with that red dot. Had no idea if I was high or low. Took it off, and was pretty dead on at 50 yards with the iron sights. I'm gonna pick up a bore sight to help get the red dot on paper. I loved the way this gun shot, and I can't wait to get my optic situation taken care of.

I'll be shocked if a cheap red dot will take the abuse from a Mini.
Did the paper pattern open up as the barrel heated up? Your first 3 to 5 shots will always be the most accurate with any Mini.
You do have the new 580 series Mini. They are not near as bad as the older Mini 14s that I grew up on

It didn't spread out too bad. I was taking my time between shots. Don't think the barrel got too hot. Its a smooth shooting gun, and the iron sights were dead on at 50 yds. When I stood up my groups dropped a couple inches, but that was on me. My technique will get better. ready to get it out and cycle through some rapid fire. It was a ball to shoot.

I paid 750 for mine, after accessories I have about 900 in it. Cheaper than most ARs I saw.
