Good = Album Sales now?

Like I care how many concerts they sell out. I don't like the new stuff. I guess I should let Hollywood tell my what to like then and stop trying to form my own opinion.

Also, missed from the post you quoted was a comment about vocals. Can you honestly listen to that trailer and not hear a difference from the original recording? That's a significant difference IMO.

Dude, have you ever listened to older Metallica?! You sound like you have no clue that Hetfield's voice has changed. He blew his voice out singing So What in '91 and had to take lessons to get it back (I believe the first time he's ever done that).

If it were just production values to blame for the vocal discrepancies there wouldn't be videos like this all over YouTube.



If you think these "new" versions with better production values are the same you need to get your hearing checked.

I used to LOVE going to see Metallica in concert. Their live performances were incredible. They played the same way they did for the albums. Hell, I swear they played a few songs faster!

It wasn't this slowed down clean vocals shit.

On the early albums, there was egregious amounts reverb, multiple delays (long, medium and short) along with the doubling and tripling of the lead vocals, then blended together.

What you've heard in the last 15 years is his voice without all the garbage.
