You guys think Selden goes pro? If he has a great NCAA tournament I could see it but only because of that.

I don't, honestly. I think he comes back next year and runs the team (not as the PG, but as the leader, similar to Chalmers with Russ Rob). He'll average somewhere between 12-16 ppg and go in the lottery. His 3 point shot is already coming around, and by next year he should be very well versed in the offense and know exactly where to be starting day one.

Very true. He also said he wants to be the defender Releford was here at KU. He has the body for it and the room to improve obviously.

I think his defense has improved a lot. If he didn't have Wiggins and Embiid taking all the hype, more people would realize that he has been a day one starter, taken and made some of the biggest shots in the game, and has been one of our most dependable pieces on offense.

I also absolutely love the way he talks to the other guys. He corrals them when emotions run hot, and constantly is telling guys to stay in it, stay positive, stay focused. I think he is a hell of a player and is going to end up being really special.

I'd like to see someone fix his shooting stroke. It needs to be tightened up, and he'll be an absolute assassin. Too strong and athletic to let him get a step on you.

Heh. They have problems. I went into the EMAW thread here, and asked them where they were projected to be in the tourney. I had a decent discussion with Irish I think. Anyway, on either side of our conversation, it was nothing but (I presume, their jokes aren't funny and it is difficult to know what exactly they're making fun of) taking pot shots at KU.

They discussed their new QB recruit some, but it was primarily flagship comments, whatever the **** that means, and some about their new addition to BSFS being flagship, whatever the **** that means. I presume they're taking shots at KU, either that or they are really really really cocky.

He is a pretty salty defender, not Releford, but pretty sturdy nonetheless.

I hope he doesn't go. I like the way his offense is coming around. He's going to be good. Maybe we can snag 3 good years ala Rush.

Calipari responds to Pat Forde....at least I think that's what he's doing. He may be trying to sell pencils.

“They’ve been doing that my whole career. You got, you know, guys waiting in the wings waiting for anything. And all of sudden, the story comes out, and it’s like, where was this build up and venim in this story? Oh my gosh. That’s part of it. I mean, you just, you just say hey, I do what I do. I know why I do it for kids. I’m comfortable in my skin doing what I do. I’ve made it very transparent how I do my job and what I feel about my job. I love coaching here, and all of the stuff that goes with it. Again, we lose a game and it’s an international incident. They’re talking about what’s wrong with me and the program on First Take. While yet other teams lose three or four games – oh they’re fine.

I mean that’s just being at Kentucky, it’s what it is. And our fans, look, they know they can tweak you fans. So they tweak you, and you go bonkers. I love it though. So then I don’t have to say anything, it’s like you’re an army for me. All they do is tweak me or tweak the program or tweak a guy and all of a sudden it’s like army ants coming at you and there’s no end to them. They come and they just keep coming. But, some of it they do to get your eyeballs on their site. Don’t do that. Don’t give ‘em your eyeballs now. Some of those people, those nasty dudes, don’t give ‘em your eyeballs. Paste it, and everybody read the paste if you want to read it, but don’t give ‘em your eyeballs. The guy will be in a soup line in another six months, don’t give him the eyeballs. Pencils, selling pencils ain’t a bad deal either. That’s why I go to church every day, because that’s how I feel sometimes.”

During the KU game in Stillwater, Smart became the first athlete EVER to do the barrel roll flop during a game. There are talks that LeBron James & James Harden successfully completed this move in scrimmage games, but NEVER in real live action. Here is the now famous barrel roll flop:

As I said in the game thread, I think this may be the greatest basketball flop I've ever seen. The roll is a great finishing touch. His skills are enviable.

Sad part? They believe it B. They try and throw names like flagship or something to stir other fan bases. But sadly he is serious about his delusions.
