There's being realistic...and there's drinking the Kool-Aid and being a yes-man. Based on the first 2 games, it was reasonable to have some doubts. I'm freakin' thrilled with this result. I hope it's given Herm/Solari some confidence that Huard can (if necessary) put it in the air. That said...this was against the 49ers, and I'd like to see 'em do the same thing against a better team before I really start to feel comfortable.
BTW...it's worth mentioning that an awful lot of the excuse makers/yes-men/bobos last week kept falling back on "Huard was playing" for the reason we were so conservative. That argument rings pretty damn hollow in retrospect. |
