And the worst part is they can't let it ****ing go even in light of an 8-0 start.

It's simple; they want to believe that Andy and John, despite rehashing the same QB formula that has failed us more times than I can count, will "get it right this time".
There are people who have emotionally tied themselves to Reid, and there are people like myself that could care less if Albert Einstein walked through the door claiming he could make that formula work.

Because it doesn't.

But it doesn't matter to them, as long as they can carefully sugar-coat their denial in "I'm just a fan that wants the Chiefs to win, and you obviously aren't"-bullshit. As if bitching about professional sports teams who are currently winning is some strange, new phenomena in the known universe.

Well duh, you can't win a Super Bowl unless you have a first round QB.

So if we would have drafted Geno in the first round we could have won a Super Bowl with him. There would have been no point in drafting him in the second round.

What's kind of funny is that Joe Montana, who has four rings, was a 3rd rounder, and the guy who would like to catch him, Tom Brady, was a 6th.

But anyway, Alex Smith is a first rounder, so you guys are good to go.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

It's easier to understand the complaints with not drafting a QB with Fisher sucking so badly as he has... but hindsight's a bitch. Clearly, Reid didn't like Geno that much... and had already liked Smith and Daniel.

Still too early to say that Fisher is a lost cause... and still too early to write off Geno as a bust QB too.

... but the idea of drafting a rookie QB that would almost certainly keep the Chiefs from being a winning team in yr 1? That was not an option for the front office and coaches... and it shouldn't be. Not with this roster and the need to get the team and fan attitude changed.

Why is it only this team feels it's Draft a QB in the first OR trade for one?

And that choice always being to trade for one?...

Guess timing is everything? and if you don't like your QB options in the draft... but do like a FA option available.. well then that's the call. You know your KC history better than I...

I don't think Geno is a bust, he's just nothing special either. He's basically another Sam Bradford or Josh Freeman.

Bradford's had nearly four years to prove otherwise and couldn't.

Freeman had five and by the looks of it, his 2010 was a complete mirage.
