Bray had made noticeable improvement in a short time. Not caught, but had a nice back shoulder throw. #Chiefs

It's not okay if it's a trade to New England that already is a favorite son in the league -just the same as if it were Denver or Dallas or whoever has been in the spotlight in the last decade or so. Why? Because the deck is already stacked against Kansas City as it is. Dealing away pieces as is being discussed only serves to cement the status that the Chiefs (and, for the sake of the argument, the Royals) are nothing more than farm teams that only exist to harbor young and unpolished talent for successful teams to cash in on later.

****. That.

Of course the NFL is different than baseball on almost every level. But that doesn't change people's perceptions. If the Chiefs start dealing players like Moeaki and Baldwin for draft picks to "elite" franchises then it implies they have no concerted drive to be contenders in the league and serve only as a proving ground for winning teams just to kick the can down the road and hope to contend with a roster of youthful prospects.

And no, this is not an impassioned defense of either player in this scenario. Moeaki is exactly what we know he is in that he's a probably useful player with nagging injury concerns and Baldwin is an underachieving physical specimen. Trade both of them to Arizona for second rounders in the next two drafts. But the possible negatives of having either one of these guys become stars on an established franchise outweigh any positive that results from them being dealt.

TL;DR trading them to a team like New England, Pittsburgh or Green Bay is as unadvisable as trading them to a team in the division.
The Royals trade good players to elite teams as a kind of farm system because of money. The Chiefs are trading players to New England because they don't know how to make them work in their system. As if we've ever traded somebody to a team and it worked out brilliantly. Yes, there was the Jared Allen trade, but Carl was a dipshit and we were at least paid pretty handsomely for it. Other than that, you've got prime examples of trading away Alex Magee and Tank Tyler. And Lawrence Tynes, I guess. Tynes was a killer trade for us.

Neither of those players are Wes Welker. And if they're playing like they have in the past, it means they're borderline training camp cuts for us. May as well ship their asses off now for some compensation than cut them later embarrassingly in a drunken stupor of Pioli rage.

I don't think he'll bust. I think he'll take the usual 3 years to "get there". And if the average for "getting there" is 3 or more years, why do the Lil' Chiefy's get all excited about taking a lineman high, when he can't make an immediate impact?

Dumb Lil' Chiefy; go sit in the ****ing corner and drool on yourself.

Far and away the most live contact I've seen at any camp so far. Andy Reid has them hitting all the way to ground, everyone except the QB

Could it be that he was the wrong ****ing pick, then?

We were told Best Player Available by Marcellus and all these other dweebazoids. It's like they learned nothing from the Tyson Jackson experiment. When you take a low-impact position player that high, the stakes and the expectations for immediate greatness are way too goddamn high. Almost nobody can match those expectations.

It's still training camp, but training camp doesn't last very long. Soon it will be the regular season, and that's when every mistake made by our #1 overall RT pick is going to make this franchise look bad. REALLY REALLY ****ing bad.
