Above Ground Pools
Any of you own an above ground pool? What are the pros and cons? Any models that you would recommend? Or any tips on owning one?

Dad's got a 27' x 54". He built his deck out around it. I say don't go with the plain light blue liner. Too easy to tell when it fades. The shock and other chemicals can get pricy, especially when initially opening the pool each year. Just have to spend a few hours a week to upkeep.

Oh, and the only major downfall would be birds. Dad cut down two trees in his back yard.

Dad just got rid of his hot tub. It was nice, but it just got to where it wasn't worth the energy and added expense it took for upkeep. He prefers the pool, so he sold the hot tub.
