I hope you understand that the opinion of fans has no meaning. For years, people in this forum bitched about Carr while people like me were defending him due to the play of Mike Brown, Jon McGraw and so on.

Fast forward to last year and the view was completely different.

The bottom line is that it's difficult to judge a player if the surrounding players aren't in place or at least, average.

Smith may excel in KC or he may not. But he's worth giving a shot.

Brandon Carr is good, but he got way too much money...and people still want to cry that we didn't re-sign him. Guarantee they don't make the moves we made this year (or re-sign Bowe) had they retained Carr.
