It's so rigged that it was TIED until gimpy Lebron hit that clutch 3.

Then the Thunder turned it over.

The Dwyane Wade made a pretty sweet layup.

Then Harden choked on a shot.

The Heat made plays, the Thunder didn't, simple as that.

And I ****ing hate the Heat.

yea, it was certainly rigged last season when the Heat beat the Mavs

Watching Tulsa's news stations cover these Finals has been embarrassing.

With 4:21 left OKC was up by 2.

Westbrook turns the ball over.

Bosh makes a layup.

Westbrook misses a jump shot (while guarded by a gimpy Lebrom)

Lebron nails a 3

Durant turns the ball over.

Wade makes a layup.

Then down 3 with 1:14 left Sefolosha misses a 3.

Chalmers makes a layup and that was pretty much it.

But it's all rigged...

plenty of good reasons for people to hate the big 3. Same reasons peiple hate jeterl. But unlike jeter, lebron did it to himself. Before, during, and after the decision.

You're hilarious.

The Cleveland roster from the Finals was (*starter):
Drew Gooden*
Daniel Gibson*
Z*
Sasha Pavlovic*
Larry Hughes
Damon Jones
Donyell Marshall
Scot Pollard
Eric Snow
Anderson Varejao
David Wesley
Shannon Brown
Ira Newble
Dwayne Jones

That's AWFUL.

Secondly, what player has won a championship on his own? Last I checked TEAMS, not individual players, win Championships and nearly every team (except maybe Dallas & Detroit - one time wonders) that's won a Championship in forever has had at least 2 stars.
You spent all that time convincing me that teams win championships and now you're suggwsting that lebron got to the championships completely on his own.
Interesting. No, it was not a stellar cast. But they were an elite defensive team. Eric snow, lebron and Hughes were some of the best defenders at their positions. Z was a very solid scorer. They were a very good disciplined hustle team. Their defense was much better than miamis, which says a lot because Miamis defense is very good.

The reason why people have issues with Lebron's decision more than other superstars is because he is a Ohio native. If anyone knows the plight of Cleveland sports it is him. He is the hometown kid that turned his back on his hometown after professing his loyalty to his state. He was supposed to be different than the others. While other superstars are from certain areas and play for teams in areas that were never their home, he wasn't. Is he the best player in the NBA right now? Yup. Is he a phenomenal talent who will be the finals MVP? Yup. Will he be in the HOF one day when it is all over? Yup. Will a portion of his legacy be defined by his decision to abandon his hometown team to chase championships in Miami? Yup.

View from the sideline is a column by Mike Misico, Sports Editor.

The Oklahoma City Thunder dropped the third game of the NBA Finals to the Miami Heat by a final score of 91-85 on Sunday night.

After jumping out to a 1-0 series lead, the Thunder have dropped back-to-back games to fall behind 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.

I am not usually big on conspiracy theories, and the NBA is full of them, but having watched the 2012 playoffs and all three championship games to this point, something definitely seems afoul.

The officiating throughout the post-season has been pretty bad, and during the Finals it has been even worse.

It almost seems as though the NBA wants Miami to win, and they are ‘helping’ them out via the officiating.

Everything boils down to ratings here. Let’s take a step back and look at both conference finals.

After Boston seemed to be in control against the Heat, they began to unravel. Technical fouls and ‘ticky-tack’ calls began to be handed out against the Celtics for no apparent reason. Of course, the same offenses being called on them where not called on the other end of the court.

Ultimately, the Heat were triumphant and advanced to yet another Finals appearance.

In the West, the veteran Spurs of San Antonio seemed to be in control of their series with the Thunder until the same things that happened to the Celtics, began happening to them.

What had been the most dominant team in the NBA to that point, could not overcome both the officials and the young OKC squad.

Would the league really have wanted a Celtics/Spurs showdown in the Finals? No. Let’s face it; this would’ve been bad for ratings, especially following a long and ugly work stoppage that cost the NBA a solid chunk of the 2012 regular season.

It’s all about ratings; Thunder vs. Heat.

You have the villains (Miami) and you have the good guys (OKC). Stephen Spielberg couldn’t have scripted it any better.

Kevin Durant is the anti-LeBron James, and the Thunder are the anti-Heat.

You have perhaps the biggest ego in professional sports (James), against Durant, who is seemingly one of the most humble and grounded players in the game.

The Heat got to where they are the easy way, while the Thunder built up their team the ‘right way.’

So, the NBA is getting what they wanted. Ratings are sky-high for this year’s NBA Finals.

However, they need to tread lightly. Poor officiating has now cost OKC two-consecutive games, and in my opinion, it has been obvious.

It seems like the NBA would not want to damage an already strained relationship with its fan base.

The Thunder have been playing well enough to be up 3-0 at this point. Granted, on Sunday they didn’t help their own cause but blatant non-calls have resulted in positive results for the Heat, and it’s hard to play defense when you’re not able to breathe on your opponent without hearing a whistle.

It is what it is. I just hope that with all the negative attention the officials are getting, the league will choose to back off a bit.

These are two great teams, there is no denying that, but there is a certain scripted element to the series that has become much too obvious.

Let the teams play and let the chips fall where they may.

You would think the NBA would win no matter who hoists the championship trophy at this point.

Then again, if the villain emerges victorious, the door will remain open for a sequel.

I just wonder when Commissioner David Stern will announce the NBA’s merging with the WWE.

I hate the Heat as much as the next guy, but seriously OKC cost themselves that game last night, not the refs.

There's a difference between the NBA's biggest stars getting more calls and a series being "fixed".

So I guess we've established that you don't understand the difference between winning championships and getting to the finals. Allen Iverson carried his team to the Finals in 2001. His team couldn't win the Championship.
