Cowher was in Pittsburgh for 15 years. In that time, he went to the Super Bowl twice. He fielded very good defenses year after year. BUT, his offenses were horrible. His reluctance to draft or sign a top tier QB cost them at LEAST two additional Super Bowl appearances. Kordell Stewart Tommy Maddox Mike Tomczack Kent Graham Do ANY of those guys look like championship caliber QB's? How about letting Mike Vrabel walk? Or Troy Edwards #8 overall? Cowher's just a Marty clone who had an even more patient owner than Lamar. |

Cowher is coming back to KC, so of course he turned down the job.

Falcons are going to have a hard time getting any "name" coach to go there.

I'd rather have a younger coach that is aware an evolving NFL. You know, someone very much unlike Herm.

At halftime of a Chiefs game a couple of weeks ago, Cowher said "the Chiefs are doing fine... if it wasn't for that one turnover they would be in the lead... they just need to keep a hold of the ball and be in the game at the end." Um, no thanks, we already have one of those. |

I think Mike Singletary would be a good hire for them.
They need a coach to come in kick some ass. That team needs some discipline. |

There's been a lot of talk about Cowher coaching the Panthers. His family lives in Raleigh and built a huge home there. Anybody is better than Hermie but I bet he'll be the next HC in Carolina.
