When you have a hitter as good as Odorizzi you want to get him as many at bats as possible? There's no chance of him being the last out of the third inning trying to stretch a single into a double. So he won't be tired when he comes out to pitch the top of the fourth.

I was joking, but I did say third inning. The only way he could be the last out of the third inning batting 8th is if they had a lot of batters in innings 1 or 2, but yes if I was serious it would have been failed logic.
