6. You can sunburn through the windscreen of a car.

7. You develop a fear of door handles.

8. You break into a sweat @ 7am

9. Your biggest bicycle fear is "what if I get knocked out and end up cooking on the road".

10. You realise asphalt is a liquid state.

11. Farmers are feeding chickens ice to prevent hard boiled eggs.

12. The trees are whistling for dogs.

13. Shopping Centres are temples where you worship Air Conditioning

14. Sticking your head in freezers is considered normal

15. A cup full of ice is considered a great snack

16. A blackout is life threatening because the air con and fans stop working.

17. You keep everything in the fridge, including clothing

18. The effort of towelling yourself off after a shower means you need another shower right away

19. You worry the ceiling fan is spinning so fast it will fly off and kill you

20. You laugh because you know this list is so accurate.

pretty cool. the in laws froze a can of coke accidentally. put it in the fridge and the top of the can flew off and spewed all over the fridge items

I've been there, stayed in an underground hotel and everything. I also had to fix the throttle on my Toyota Corona in the middle of the night and a passing officer thought I was stealing it.

I had a buddy who left a can of coke in the back of a hatch back in the sun on a 110 F day.

The can got a hairline fracture and spewed a fine mist that coated the entire inside of the car and baked in the sun for hours. Even the car detailing place couldn't get rid of the stickiness.

Screw the heat. I would rather deal with cold.

I did not mine any opals, I'm not sure how one does that. We lived in Adelaide at the time and drove to Uluru, Coober Pedy was just a stop on the way. It was neat, but wouldn't have been worth it as the ultimate destination of the trip.
