A pro bowl corner in his prime on a team-friendly contract being shipped out by a team with a dearth of talent in the secondary - yes, there is probably more to the story.

He was kicked off his college team eventually, despite his talent, IIRC. He seems to have a way of wearing out his welcome quickly.

Hopefully we got a significant haul for him. But, CHUNT handed the franchise over to Reid, and so we have to live with Reid's player personnel decisions.

At one point, the #Chiefs were pushing to trade for DE Robert Quinn, along with a draft pick. But sounds like now it’ll be just draft picks going over to KC for Marcus Peters.
