What to do when you can't use a shovel
I have some major digging to do and at my age a shovel just didn't cut it. So, using and old riding mower I build a small backhoe. Tried out for the 1st time this morning and wow, talk about a digging machine. Using scrap metal from the salvage yard and surplus cylinders kept the total cost under $1000.
I just attached a pic with the boom raised. Looks like about 5000 pounds of digging force at the bucket
