Berry may be a great safety but a great safety will never have as much impact as an even average left tackle.

Sounds like a fair deal to me.

The Chiefs offensive line looks to be locked up for the next 3 years at minimum.

As we have stated over the many years we've watched the Chiefs draft lineman after lineman: continuity is everything. To have, at least, our Tackles and Center established for the next 3 years is great thing.

Fair enough. Give me Reed, Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs and the rest of that wrecking crew of a defense, and then we wouldn't have to sign Fisher to an extension.

I was just saying that Reed isn't the best example. If Berry has a Reed type year and can be that going forward, by all means, keep him.

But I'm skeptical.

These early deals always look crazy, but they end up working out for the team more times than not.

Yes, consistency is king. Hopefully, LDT takes another step forward and Ehinger lives up to the offseason billing, which would give the Chiefs a solid line for years to come.
