I have been in Atalnta since 93 and I know that the Falcons have not been that good and are still not that good. They made it to the superbowl because Minnesota played very poor game against the Falcons that year. If C.P. doesnt bring in a whole new staff (that would include a new head coach) after losing to the the Falcons then that tells me that he is happy with this team being 8-8 as long as that is all it take to sell tickets.
I don't believe you can make your decision on emotion but I believe that if you lose to the teams you are suppose to beat after winning the ones you probally should have lost there is a motivational problem from coach to players. Gun needs to be fired along with all the coaches and if he is not here is my advice to the fans in and around KC, support the Chiefs from home for at least a couple of games. Im not saying to give up season tickets Im just saying not to go to the first couple of games just to show the organization that they need the fans more than the fans need them. Im a football fan also but I hate to see organization not make moves to win the big game because they are still selling tickets |

LBRock,
I completely agree with what you are saying...For me, this year was much harder to take than any other. Not because we had a losing season, we have had many of those before this year, but because we had a losing season when we had the talent to not only be a playoff team but to be a SB contender...I'm not saying that we were loaded, but we were good enough to make a serious run considering there is not a great team in the league this year...Every team has a serious weakness on one side of the ball or the other...Knowing you fell well short because of horrible coaching is very tough to take...I really feel like the coaching job that went on in KC this year was the absolute worst I have ever seen at the professional level in any sport...The players could have coached themselves to a 8-8 or 9-7 season... ------------------ [b]Leading the Dan Morgan bandwagon</B> |

Welcome to the board,
I agree that changes need to be made; most people on this board(Chief fans or not) also agree. It wasn't just losing to Atlanta: it was perhaps more embarassing losing to the likes of San Diego, San Fran & New England. It was the fact that this team had talent. They beat the Rams soundly, swept the Donks, nearly beat the Titans & Raiders, and gave Indy a pretty tough game as well. Inconsistency & bad coaching are the 2 biggest problems. It's sad that even fans of other teams can easily point that out. |

The half-empty stadium the last few weeks, no matter how Rufus Dawes tries to spin it as weather-related, should be sending a pretty clear message to one Mr. Carl Peterson, esq.
