I was listening to the last game of the Marlins series on the radio and remember Denny saying that Buck catches certain pitchers and LaRue catches the others. He really didn't expand on it any further. I just figured some pitchers are more comfortable with certain catchers. I personally think it's nuts.

No, actually, it does make sense in a way. I mean, Maddux always had hsi own personal catcher that he has known for years in Atlanta. Wakefield had whoever that other catcher (not Vertiak sp?) to handle his knuckleballs, etc.

If that's true, and with Buck having a hot bat there's no reason why he shouldn't be playing as DH.

Of course I'm talking about against AL teams or if we host another home interleague series.
