Sean Taylor shot, in critical condition

Apparently fighting for his life after being shot during a home invasion.

Sorry, but in cases where a guy's either dying or severely ****ed up, regardless, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt until something comes up to disprove that line of thinking.
This has nothing to do with being black.

Miami players always have problems off the field. Someone got shot a year ago. I guess it was just by accident right?

Christ man the list can go on and on. Players go down there and party their asses off on south beach, hang with the wrong people. Do drugs etc you name it.

Remember the 7th Floor Crew??? Just by accident I guess.

All Im saying is that Taylor has been subjected to bad behavior in the past. Now I dont know the facts and you are right, but you could say it's a pretty good educated guess that something was connected to a previous altercation.

It's like when Darrent Williams got shot. Or Pac Man Jones. These guys put themselves in awful positions and people act like it's a tragedy when bad things happen.

"Deserve?" There's nothing he could do to deserve it.

Cause, enable, facilitate, provoke...There are a host of other words that might fit better.

The details of that night are still murky to the public at large. Reporters have probably heard some things that they can't substantiate or won't report; police probably know some things that they won't talk about; and prosecutors probably have some evidence that doesn't amount to proof.

So if someone who engages in the worst behavior against society goes straight and something from that past comes back to haunt them theyre still in the wrong?

Its hard to break from a criminal lifestyle, but to insinuate that Taylor and Williams were in the wrong is crazy.
you gotta lot to learn about your fellow beings son.

The 7th floor crew was a bunch of Miami Players singing a stupid rap song. How in the hell does that relate to Taylor being shot in his own home?

In case you did not know people party and do drugs in other states as well. It seems Jared Allen had not probably partying in the midwest. I suppose since he drove drunk in the past if a drunk driver hit and and killed him he would be "getting what he deserved".

Bryan Pata was murdered at as he was going to his apartment. What makes that any different then any of the hundreds or nameless people that are not football players that are murdered every day. I suppose everyone that is murdered got what is coming to them becuase of something in the past. You logic is totallly flawed.

Taylor did have issues in the past. All reports are that after his daughter was born, he grew up and was a different person. Times change and people change.

Could this be related to something in his past, sure it could.

I know people think Taylor was a thug, but from I have read he has turned his life around. Also, the man was attacked in his own home. Its not like he was out "making it rain" or anything. This is a sad day, so lets not try and twist it around to fit the image that we all, at one time, thought was Sean Taylor. RIP.

On another note, they still haven't caught the guy who murdered the Denver Bronco player here last year. Another surprise is that in this day and age people can still get away with murder. Hopefully, they'll catch both murderers eventually.
He most likely didn't die due to the blood loss. He probably had a pulmonary embolism. It's quite common after massive blood loss for a portion of the clot to break loose.

That's how DT died.

it just goes to show how short life can be, imagine being 24 years old and you're on top of the world as one of the best safeties in the game and then it's over. It's sad

Okay...driving home from work listening to Sirius 124 and now Bob Dole is starting to get pissed off.

People are calling and the hosts are agreeing that the police should have increased Taylor's protection after the previous break-in.

Sean Taylor got the same damned "increased" protection after his home was invaded as did Bob Dole. Nothing. Bob Dole doesn't even want to HEAR about this bullshit. It's a tragedy that he was shot and subsequently died. But no more of a tragedy than if Bob Dole had been shot and killed during a second invasion of his home.

And to the douchebag that mentioned the "redneck with a shotgun in Texas" earlier--Sean Taylor (and the rest of us) could only hope to have a "redneck" neighbor who cared that much.

If people want to bitch about police protection and security in our own homes, that's fine. But don't EVEN start spouting off about some poor rich man who was gifted enough to play a game on Sunday being more deserving of additional protection than the rest of us.

A good dog and gun go a long ways when it comes to protection. Hopefully they catch the guy who did it.
