49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

The throws shown at the 30-60 second mark are pretty nice. If he could do that more often, I'd be less butt- hurt over the signing.

Go back and watch Flacco during the playoff's and SB and watch how many times Bolden bails his ass out. He was throwing ****ing rainbows and WRs were making ridiculous catches.

All QB's get bailed out some by their receivers. They have to have the balls to make the pass giving them a shot.

The 49ers have been 25th or worse in third down conversion percentage Alex Smith's entire playing career. They were 31st in 2011, his last full season.

Watching those highlights, he actually threw some impressive balls off his back foot. Having said that, it seems it is a habit he developed from crapping the bed in the face of pressure, and that throw won't be there as his physical tools decline.

i think there are only about three games in the entire highlight, pre harbaugh, and none pre injury. His injury was in 2007, which caused him to miss 2008. all of these clips as far as i can tell, are 2009 and later.

Alex Smith has never had an ubber arm. his arm is above average, but nothing special. The noodle arm thing is as funny as the niner fans always saying alex had small hands. then they found out, his hands are actually bigger than St Kaepernicks.....

Everything with alex smith is over dramatized. Hes a good qb. Hes not a great qb, hes not a mediocre qb. Hes more of a "general" he is a true leader, on and off the field.....

for the guys who like to make jokes about generals....

Generals lead, by putting their men in position to succeed. Ie, alex smith relies on his playmakers to make plays.
