Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

I like Wilson. I think he's a gamer and a tough kid.

But to be objective about it, Geno is a better prospect.

And I'm going to tell you straight up, there isn't a better player in this class as a football player than Geno, especially when you factor in the importance of the position.

There is no Calvin Johnson. No Pat Willis. No Alex Mack. No Von Miller. I'm sorry, but there is not. Next year, South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney will be that guy - and only him. He's an absolute prodigy as a 43 defensive end. But there isn't "that guy" in this draft.

IMO, Geno Smith is the best football player in this draft.
Sad thing is, people don't even bother watching the tape because they don't want their opinions changed. I'm talking to a number of these ****ing douche bags right now. It's like talking to bricks.

And that's the thing that puzzles me about the Geno detractors (which in itself puzzles me as he's been a solid guy who's put up ridiculous numbers his whole career who's also a film rat - the guy is a model for what you want in a high level NFL prospect college QB).

Geno has been a three year starter with superb numbers who's allowed to audible and change plays at WVU. He was a prep All-American at the position where he designed the plays as a starter his junior and senior years.

The guy has immense experience at the position. IMO, his floor is very high and his ceiling is elite.

The only explanation is that it's a post-Andrew Luck draft. Guys can't possible fathom that any QB will be "that" good after Luck and what Griffin and Russell have done in their rookie year in the NFL. A bit of a positional hangover if you will.

But, like I said, I truly believe that Geno Smith is the best football player in this draft regardless of position.

Geno isn't going to be a good NFL QB. KC fans wanting to draft him is more of why KC is where they are...

Wait...wanting to draft a QB in the first round, something that Kansas City hasn't done for 30 years, is why KC is where they are?

Congratulations. You've just earned a very well deserved neg and the title of:

If you are a Chiefs fan and don't want them drafting a QB #1, then please either go follow another team or go see how many times you can kill yourself, not necessarily in that order either.

Those types of moran fans are why this team is ok with not drafting a QB in the 1st rd for 30 ****ing years, or going to the SB in 40 years.

That is why it is called a no brainer. If you don't get it, you have no brain.

I swear, we need to have a scratch and sniff at the bottom of this pool of futility.

Think maybe the Vikes would trade suckass Ponder for another pick that year after their pick like idk, like any of the 5 players drafted directly after their QB?

I'm not saying Geno is the 17th best prospect, but if he is the 17th ranked prospect on our new GM's board then we better not be picking his ass out of need 1st overall in April.
Any QB would have to have some serious flaws to be ranked that low on the big board for the 1st overall pick.
Do you ****ing realize how hard it is to find a JJ Watt in the top of the first round compared to a QB? If it were that easy, the Chiefs would have 1000 JJ Watts on the goddamn team.

We currently don't have a QB BECAUSE WE HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED TO ****ING FIND ONE.

Give me more tired sports cliches. They don't make you sound like a ****ing idiot at all.
