The new rookie pay scale puts more of the emphasis on the second contract. DGB didn't just become 75% less talented.

Well, with the Chiefs most likely having a harder time this season, and DGB most likely dropping a little in the next draft, maybe there is a SLIGHT chance the Chiefs will be in the right spot to snag him.

I find it funny that they booted DGB for incidents he wasn't even brought to charges on, yet we have a millionaire coach getting DUI's and one game suspensions. Should have started from the top if you really wanted to set a precedent. God, I hate Pinkel. This by no way means I think we should have kept DGB around, simply pointing out how stupid Pinkel is.

If Pinkel had gotten arrested again for DUI, he likely would have been gone.

He wouldn't have gotten a chance to get all the way down to strike 3 like DGB did.

At the end of the day, the kid was lucky to not be charged in the two offenses this year, but it's still a STRIKE 3 situation.
