Sims to play, carlos Hall may not

Injury report

After watching defensive tackle Ryan Sims practice for a second straight day, coach Dick Vermeil said Sims would play against the Broncos.

“We may not play him 35 or 40 snaps, but I think he will be available to play,” Vermeil said.

Defensive end Carlos Hall began practice but was forced to quit because of his sore hamstring and Vermeil called Hall doubtful for Sunday’s game.

The Chiefs added Jeremy Parquet to their injury report. Parquet, Jerome Woods, Ronnie Cruz and Boomer Grigsby did not practice for the Chiefs.

It would be nice if Carlos Hall could stay healthy. The guy has been a terror for the occasional snaps that he's played.

How the hell does Parquet end up on the list? Has he been active for a game all year?

I'm hoping that will change in time the way it did for Dunn.

Damn, I would have loved to have Hall play as he tends to be the only other real playmaker on the DL other then Allen. Heck, I hate to say, well hate may be too strong of a word, but it would be nice if Hicks could have the injuries and let Hall play.

Hopefully Sims can step it up and look like the Monster that we drafted.

I have no idea what to expect from this game, none what so ever.

If the DE's are going to read, react and contain because of the bootlegs and cut back runs, then Hall sitting out won't mean much. He's a speed rusher who gets after the QB. It'll be better to have a containment guy like Hicks.

not really ... since hicks is so slow that Plummer can just run out and around hicks.

and i can't tell that Hicks is significantly better at stopping the run than hall either.

Eric Hicks is a leader and a warrior. A great locker room presence. Nobody, and I mean nobody handles being 0-4 better than him.

Haven't you paid attention to DV/GRBOB/Gunther the last 5 years?
