Bucs up 5-1 on Reds in the 7th in their Wild Card game.

Rays @ Indians tomorrow.

Well starting the inning with Carpenter wasn't too crazy. He was solid this year, they had the best bullpen in baseball. That was the Braves' biggest strength.

Once he gave up the double to Puig though, hard not to go to Kimbrel to shut it down.

I think the point was, he said he didnt even think about it. I dont see why he wasnt in in the 8th though especially when there was a day rest between games and he had only pitched in 1 of the 3 previous games and that was game 2.

And if Fredi Gonzalez had a brain, you're likely going to Atlanta to face Minor in an elimination game because he completely botched that Johnson double, plus he got completely hosed trying to steal earlier in the game.

I didn't say he's a bad player, I said he's reckless enough to cost you a game you can ill afford to lose. He did that yesterday, but Gonzalez bailed you out.

There was only one out when Johnson hit that triple. Even if Puig plays it perfectly he scores later in the inning. Let's not forget all the plays Puig DOES make that stops a runner on first from trying to stretch a single or throws out runners with his elite arm. The amazing plays he makes far outweighs the bad.

And if you want to play the manager is an idiot game you could say Mattingly bailed out the braves by putting in Belisario in the first place.

Yeah he would have scored on the Costanza hit even if he held him to a double. Crawford or skip doesn't have the arm to make it close. Kemp or Either then maybe.

Oakland and Detroit turning into a good one. Oakland actually took a lead off Scherzer who came in for the 7th... then Detroit matches with a HR.

I think the A's got hosed on that HR. If the fan doesn't interfere, I think Reddick catches that ball. But the umps got it right. Not enough evidence to overturn it.
