Are we really that young?

everyone keeps talking about how young we are ... but is it youth or are we just shitty?

OL Starters - average 30.6
WR Starters - average 30
RB's (2 deep, including FB) - average 27.2
QB's (2 deep) - average - 29
Tightends (2 deep) - average 32.5

DL starters - average 27
LB starters - average 29
DB starters - average 27.5

anyone know the NFL average age for starters?

I'm not. I think we have some so old it ups the averages.

We're old on the OL, no doubt.

But we're GETTING younger in many areas -- QB (Brodie), WR (Bowe), DL (Tamba, Tank, Turk, plus Allen isn't old), S (Page and Pollard). Patterson and Brackenridge may be getting us younger at CB.

You can't get totally young overnight. The OL needs an overhaul, and that should start next year -- but may take at least 2 years to do. Law and Surtain will be phased out in another year or so.

The only place where we intentionally got older was LB.

So yeah, overall, I think we're getting younger. But it's an ongoing process.
