I don't drink. & I understand where you are coming from. But in the court of law. Their is a big difference. Personally. If you do a Stallworth 20 years should be the minimum. But this is America,a country that likes to get its drink & drive on

It may be all of those things, but it isn't murder.

And? I already corrected myself. My point still stands: it's hypocritical to hate on Ray Lewis because you THINK he killed someone and then turn around and root for a team with a player who actually DID kill someone.

Additionally, it's ironic that one Pats fan in this thread refers to the Ravens as "Ray Murderer and his band of thugs" when the Pats not only employ a DUI manslaughterer (Stallworth) but also have players who sexually assault women at the club (Edelman) and punch police officers (Alfonzo Dennard).

Considering the amount of arrests that NFL players as a whole rack up on a yearly basis, no fanbase can really claim moral high ground when it comes to criminals on the roster. I'm not saying everyone has to root for the Ravens, but the "I won't root for Ray Murderer" crowd is stupid and naive if they think any other team out there isn't just as full of criminals and thugs. These guys are pro athletes, not role models.

Why?

He chose to sign a contract extension in KC and then cried like a two year old and demanded a trade. If he didn't want to be here he shouldn't have signed the contract. Appreciate the production while in KC, but I hope he doesn't ever sniff a Super Bowl. It's not like he was some great ambassador to the city or in the community.

Another story no one has mentioned is Randy Moss,I'd like to see him get a ring and coming against the Pats would be pretty cool.

Pats vs Falcons, with the Falcons winning

Can't stand the Ravens or 49ers, so that would be an unwatchable Superbowl matchup.

No, it isn't hypocritical. One guy got drunk and did something irresponsible, and manned up and admitted what he did. The other guy at the very least witnessed two murders and covered it up. You're an idiot if you don't understand the difference.

The difference is that one person actually was found to have killed someone and neutral fans are rooting for his team, whereas the other wasn't, but is still vilified as a "murderer" and rooted against by the same group of neutral fans.

Maybe it's because one player is a slam dunk HOFer being lionized by all the networks and the other guy is a third string receiver on IR.
