I would be kind of surprised if he's still here in the fall.

He's probably the worst starting QB in the league, there's no upside w/ him, and the new regime has no ties to him. There are better options in the draft. There will be better options in FA.

Draft a guy. Sign another for depth and to compete w/ the draft pick in case he's not quite ready to start coming out of the gate. Drew Stanton maybe? The pickings were slim on a list I googled of FA QBs to be - I crossed Flacco off, I'd be shocked if he hit the open market.

Unless its a smokescreen - which it might be - I haven't heard anything that would give any sort of confidence that the Chiefs are going to select Geno. I think it will be Cassel or some other low-rent vet arm for at least a year...Which as I've said elsewhere is highly unfortunate, especially since even if it was a complete whiff with the pick it doesn't hold the same team-killing capability that missing on a QB at number had in the past. Now, if you miss, just move on and try again.

If you guys want him back, I'll bring him back. I've got no skin in the game. Just seemed to me like the Cassel trolling had run its course. I'll look forward to the next effort when he comes back.
