Speed isn't just about running fast straight ahead.

Jenkins is much quicker in and out of his cuts and can get into the intermediate zones better. If you have him run a drag route from the slot, for instance, he'll likely be able to get and keep his separation as he crosses the middle (with Smith hitting him on the rollout as he clears the interior linebacker).

Baldwin couldn't get that separation; the nickle CB could break right on him and stay with him all the way.

We can use his speed.

This. Its like people assume the only way to use fast WRs is to send them on flies every play.

I like the trade. You can never have enough speed and if it works out all the better. Keeping Baldwin we have less speed with no hands that doesn't fit Andy's system. Can't hurt at this point.
