McGrath is a good possession TE, and it showed on a couple of plays where he needed to get about 2 yards to get the first and fell short because he doesn't have the speed. I would really like to see Kelce get some touches, because he has YAC ability. Oh and there's a reason Brock didn't make the team the first time around, he killed a drive with an easy pass but dropped it.

If Kelce has any moves to get himself past initial contact, he has the speed to break big plays like some of the other tight ends we see in the league these days. That could be quite a difference maker.

Perfect for what we need with the talent we have. Apparently people think Tom Bradys grow on trees even though we haven't had a great Qb in a decade. Alex Smith wins first of all,I don't care if its just his lucky underwear, the guy wins games. We have pretty crappy recievers and not one id consider a go to man,a conservative guy was neccesary. I damn sure don't want a qb who's so confident and arrogant they'd try to force passes into tight spaces with these recievers who let's face it,ALL have questionable hands. Our highest paid guy might be the most questionable with Bowe lol.
Alex keeps the picks downs and deflections down typically by being careful.....he looked flat out off today though,I didn't realize the weather was bad so ill chalk it up to that. Andy reid has said they'll stretch the feild more as the season goes on and confidence grows, their purposley holding back. For now. I just hope under normal conditions Alex long ball looks a lot better than it did today, its looked like. He was throwing it as hard as he could but still underthrowing guys and got lucky ona couple those long balls. |

Those sacks must have really taken down Cassel's QBR.

I actually think Alex played okay. It was third down and the redzone that made it look lika a horrible day.
Alex plays game manager. As soon as he lost the lead, he kicked it into high gear. Weird how he can't do that on a consistent basis, but it's what he's done his whole career especially the last 3 seasons. |
