Yeah, my 360 is still running strong. Bought it off a buddy for $50 like two years ago. But I'm just waiting for the inevitable crap-out. I think this is my fifth 360.

Part of the reason I'm even considering a PS4 is their supposed reliability. And the massive **** you XBox gave to their fans at launch.

Yup. I'm waiting until the systems have been out for awhile. That way the bugs get worked out and we can get some actual feedback on good/bad things about the systems.

If I were buying today, it would be a PS4. Likely I'll end up with both in the end.

I had nothing but problems with my launch 360 and the only reason I bought it in the first place was because it came out a year before the PS3.

I think I bought my first PS3 in 2009 and it stopped reading disks in 2012. I could still play downloaded games but I just wound up buying a new PS3.

Since I had to purchase a new PS3 I am rethinking whether I really need to get a next gen console at this point. Holding on to my preorder for now but I may just drop it and wait for a year or so when I can get the launch games at a cheaper price.

Titanfall May Come To The PS4 After All

Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella spoke about the possibility of TitanFall coming to the PlayStation 4.

When asked whether “PlayStation Nation out there is going to have to wait for Titanfall too?”, Zampella replied “That’s right,” he said in a recent interview with GameTrailers TV (around the 2:55 mark).

The first person shooter is currently exclusive to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, though it will be releasing for PC as well. However, Respawn has stated the possibility of the game coming to the PlayStation 4 in the near future. Many reasons have been stated for the game’s exclusivity, including the Xbox One’s feature set delivering everything the team could want and needing to start off small before going big.

Titanfall seems poised to be a big hit so we don’t doubt that a port will eventually arrive for the PS4 in the next year or two. It’s not as if so-called exclusives are strangers to this phenomenon – remember how it was said that the Mass Effect series would never come to PS3? – but it will be a good long wait for PlayStation fans.

The Xbox One Might Be Out On November 8

The PlayStation 4 is out in the US on November 15. The Xbox One? Well, it's looking like it could hit the market a week ahead of its competitor.

While Microsoft is yet to officially announce the big day, and "release dates" on retailer sites are usually little more than window dressing, we've heard from someone a little closer to the launch that Microsoft is planning a November 8 release for its latest console.

The source, who works for a marketing company that handles signage and product placement for retail giant Walmart, passed along what they say is an email for a company conference call that lists all the midnight openings the chain has planned.

As you can see, alongside the big holiday games, and just before the PS4, is the Xbox One, at November 8. Note however that, unlike every other date listed, the Xbox One's lacks a "confirmed" status, suggesting Microsoft is yet to lock the date down.

The fact it's not locked down of course means the day could change, but it also suggests it's a recent decision. Almost as though Microsoft were waiting for Sony to commit to a day before scheduling their own launch, in order to get the jump on the PS4...

PS4 vs Xbox One - Pre-Order Totals to August 24th 2013

VGChartz has gathered the pre-order numbers for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The latest data is up to the week ending August 24, 2013. This includes the week of Gamescom, which set a record for biggest gaming trade show in Europe with more than 340,000 visitors. The pre-order numbers are for the US only and give an estimate how each console is doing about three months before release.

Up until the week ending August 24 the PlayStation 4 currently leads in the total number of pre-orders in the US with about 600,000. This is up significantly since E3 where there were only 75,000 pre-orders. The Xbox One is still lagging behind with 350,000 pre-orders. This is also way up since E3 where there were only 45,000 pre-orders.

Yeah someone needs to take a chance and make a CGI movie. Like Blizzard. They'd make more doing those than the games they've been producing of late. They're great at those cinematic trailers.
