Seems unlikely, but who knows. Maybe people were in a good mood after playing (and beating) a top 5 team. You sure can't do that in the Big 12 this year. (Not in a conference game, anyway.) Follow that up with a trip to the most historic venue in college basketball to play the defending champions, and it's a fun time to be a Mizzou fan.

Kentucky is a much better program than KU they proved that last year. It must be fun playing in a new conference that invited you. Certain teams cant make that claim.

No, that never happened. Texas never won a conference when they had to play in Allen Fieldhouse. Every time they had to, they finished 2nd or worse.

Yep. In 2005, we were tied by OU at 12-4. In 2006, Texas tied us 13-3. Same in 2008. In all three cases they beat us at home but did not return trip to Lawrence. The only way you can tie us for the League is to steal one at home and not return the trip - obviously not an issue anymore but it used to be.


The two years Texas tied us, we beat them by double digits in the conf tourney.
