And you do realize that it would never happen. EA Sports has enough fanboys in their backpocket to not care if 10,000 gamers don't buy their product. There will be 100,000 gamers out there that will.

Well, I don't plan on buying Madden this year. I did, however buy NCAA 09. Sue me. It's far from perfect, but it's still somewhat fun.

I even bought into the hype of Fifa 07. I heard about the solid reviews. So i was like ok, goign to give this game a shot. ONly come to find out that i never played a game were the AI was so ****ing stupid. AI on your team was just reeruned i am talking about corky reeruned. Then the opposing team's AI was as smart as Albert Einstien. The way EA translates difficulty is by the AI cheating, not by making that shit harder. |

I still haven't forgiven EA for buying my favorite online WW2 air combat simulator (Air Warrior), then killing it in 6 months. (2001)

Sega is long gone out of the picture. Visual Concepts which is a divsion of Take Two and 2k Sports does the football/basketball/hockey games for 2K.
The 2K football series is not dead in the water. I know this because 2k has told me directly. One of the perks i get for helping them out. lol I dont know when we will hear of the new football game or what direction they are going with it, but i do expect one to be released for next football season. They always stated they wanted to do football games every other year. |

1. Editable/downloadable rosters. I don't think playing with HOF players is very realistic. 2. No franchise mode. That is the only mode I have ever played with any consistency. .

I dont understand what all the 2K masturbation is all about, at least for their football games. Even though I agree with everything being said about Madden in this thread, to me its still a better product than the 2K series. Everyone says Madden is to "arcade like" but I feel 2K is even more "Arcade like." Everyone raves about the amazing gang tackling but big deal when you can make the most ridiculous cuts just using the D pad.
Their basketball games are the best ive ever played though ill give them that. |

in 2k5 if you knew how to use the analog stick to make cuts you can make some good ones, but in the 2k8 you cant, the player mometum thing cuts it down by alot. To do cuts you have to use the juke stick and but even then its not overpowered. I am actually playing it right now online, and its not happening for me. lol

I haven't bought a Madden product in YEARS until i picked up 08 for the PC on a fire sale price of 10 bucks.
Yeah, the graphics are better. But man, I'm sick of the big play itis. TOO many, fumbles, interceptions, interceptions returned for TDs, completed long passes. I also notice that runners tend to get consistently stuffed unless they break a 60 yard rush. I did use the "sliders" to modify gameplay, but there are still limits to how much reasonable play you can achieve. I tried letting the CPU play games against itself and testing out different slider settings, in an attempt to get the game to produce both reasonable stats and gameplay. Quarterbacks still have too low a completion percentage, i've got fumbles and INTs under control, but i have reasonable qb ratings, and yards per attempt totals. The commit feature for defense is still too effective. Teams get stuffed on short yardage runs almost all the time, which run contrary to actual NFL results. |

I know what you're saying, and I agree, but there are some seriously flustating glitches in that shit, that it takes a little while to catch on to. Especially if your having fun playing it the way this guy seems to be.
