Massive Multiplayer online.

Typically people think of games like WoW, EQ, and UO as some of the first MMO's.

Nowadays MMOs are mostly instanced.

Meaning instead of having thousands of players in a zone, they have a smaller amount of players spread over many 'instanced' copies of a zone, and those players are all still in a persistent world overall, they just cant be all packed into the same zone.

I will be forced to get a headset to play this. Can't sleep and watched that trailer again. That game is crazy. We will all need to just play around with it for a week or so too.
