Weird question... if SD keeps Michael Turner, then you have to say that SD has the better RB situation. Both LT and LJ are taking a boat load of punishment, LT is older... so yeah, LJ has youth on his side.
Player to player... gimme LT over LJ. You can talk all day about which guy is the best 'runner', but gimme LT, he's the better runner and receiver. Add in their backups and if SD can keep Turner, that's easy.

LJ needs to be a more complete back. Period. Give me Priest Holmes in '03 any day, he ran, caught and blocked ala LT. LJ has a loooong way to go to be considered among the leagues greatest backs IMO. He made his living on sheer yardage last season, but carried the ball about 1.3 million times. He's got to diversify, most especially as a pass catcher. I hope that's something that will happen this season.

SD is in a better situation. There guy can catch, block, and sometimes throw. They also have a better oline to accomodate him. That being said he has more yards than LJ in about every department with way less carries. Once Lj gets a line worthy of him hes gonna blow up

Johnson's bad recieving includes his bad route running. He has a bad habbit of stopping and not finishing the route.
