Anybody get it yesterday?

It's incredible. Twice the game that the first one was. Easily. Between this and DOA, I'm pretty useless...

Well, shit. I just purchased MW2. This game will be my next purchase though for sure.

I have L4D and think its fun, but lacking.

Hmm...might have to grab this as well.

It really is a lot better than the first one. They improved the gameplay a ton. Added lots of new weapons. Including the awesome machete and the chainsaw. Several new zombie bosses too.

i didn't like there was only 5 weapons or so in the first one, but the first one really was sweet when you played it again and again and each level unravelled diffrently

I played the demo and it was pretty good but I still haven't purchased the game as of yet.

How is it playing undead in versus? Do you think the two sides are fairly matched? I'm one of those people that never play the single player campaign and go right to online so that's a pretty big deciding factor

The demo map was pretty wide open, brightly lit and level with nothing to climb up onto. I couldn't figure out where to ambush from let alone get a good ambush with a slow ass, lumbering boomer.

It's all about versus. Definitely geared toward that.

And I really think they gave an edge to the zombies in this one. Using a little teamwork, the zombies can really tear shit up. There's a new boss zombie that jumps up and latches onto the player's head, and you can actually steer the player where you want them to go at that point. So you can hop on and steer the player out of the group and right into a waiting zombie horde. There's an acid spitting zombie that can be pretty deadly too.

And you can climb on all sorts of shit as a zombie.

Sweet! I loved the first one and I'm on call this week (trapped in throwing distance of a computer) so I think I'll be downloading shortly after work.

Time to kick some zombie ass!

Coop is 4 players on the same team fighting AI zombies

Versus is two teams of 4 players. One team is survivors and other team is zombie bosses along with the regular AI horde zombies. Both teams of four play both survivors and zombie bosses in staggering rounds and a winner is declared at end.

Versus is by far the most fun and playing zombie bosses is a ****ing blast. If you get a good group together on both sides of the game there is no other game that compares for over the top fun and strategy IMHO.

Battlefield 2 was close but way too all around buggy.

Thats another great think that I liked about L4D. In versus, you really couldn't solo and kick ass. The players being zombies would own you in a heartbeat.

Nothing like playing a bloat, puking on a bunch of the survivors, getting a smoker to get one survivor, then the hunters to pounce 2 of them...good stuff.

If L4D2 is better, then I am all for getting this.
