The current best of the Chiefs 2008 draft (besides Charles)

Jamaal Charles is the last of the Chiefs' supposedly glorious franchise-rebuilding draft class from 2008. The others either sucked or became cap casualties.

So here's a question. If you could have any one player back on the team from this draft class at his CURRENT level of ability, who would you take?

Since this is a thought experiment, ignore contracts and money. Imagine the NFL is going to pay for all contract expenses. The Chiefs would get to keep that player on the team for as long as they want until they believe he's washed up and can't benefit the team any more.

The player must also remain at the position they played for the Chiefs. Albert doesn't get to be moved to guard. Flowers CAN, however, be the team's slot corner.

Also, I'm only including players on the list who are currently in the NFL. I know you all still think Brian Johnston has the potential to be an outstanding pass rusher, but because he's gone from the league, he's not an option.

Poll forthcoming

How ridiculous that only six drafts later, we only have one player on the roster from the best draft class in a 15 year stretch.

3 different administrations. Of course there will be major roster turnover.

This.

If not for Fisher I'd go Carr...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Hehe, Barry Richardson.

I'll never, ever be able to think back about the days of Matt Cassel and his suckage and laugh about it. I will always hate that piece of shit and his stupid face...and his total lack of accountability when it came to his suckage. **** him. However, I've already gotten to the point with Barry Richardson, where when I hear/read his name...I can't help myself from laughing.

Watching that dude try to block was like watching some fat dude struggling to push a refrigerator into a U-Haul. At the time, it was infuriating. Now that he is no longer our problem, it's hilarious. What a shit-show.

Either Albert or Carr.

I'd go with Albert given that I think the slapsticks on the offensive line are worse than the slapsticks we have at CB. Plus, our schedule this season will feature some ridiculous pass rushers. I think we'd be better off in the short and long term with Albert.
