That's the beauty of the show. Art created it as a platform for anyone, as long as they were intelligent and/or interesting, regardless of whether he (or anyone in his audience) agrees with what they have to say. As he's put it in the past, he just 'hands them the rope'.

Moreover, "fact" doesn't mean "absolute certainty"; there ain't no such animal in an exciting and complex world. The final proofs of logic and mathematics flow deductively from stated premises and achieve certainty only because they are not about the empirical world. Evolutionists make no claim for perpetual truth, though creationists often do (and then attack us falsely for a style of argument that they themselves favor). In science "fact" can only mean "confirmed to such a degree that it would be perverse to withhold provisional consent." I suppose that apples might start to rise tomorrow, but the possibility does not merit equal time in physics classrooms.

Evolutionists have been very clear about this distinction of fact and theory from the very beginning, if only because we have always acknowledged how far we are from completely understanding the mechanisms (theory) by which evolution (fact) occurred. Darwin continually emphasized the difference between his two great and separate accomplishments: establishing the fact of evolution, and proposing a theory--natural selection--to explain the mechanism of evolution.

The only problem Evolution has is the fact that there are a gazillion similar species on this planet untilit comes to humans. Humans are unique in their species. I find it turly amazing how the Theory of Evolution seems to ignore this very fact.

On the other hand Creationaism is very simple and in some cases too simple to explain things. The fact is we are symbiots with the entire universe. We depend on everything around us. We depend on the sun, the moon, the birds and the bees, the flowers and the trees.

We all did come from something. There is no life in this universe without death and no death obviously without life.

And anyone who says they know how we came about is full of shit.

Humans are unique as the only remaining example of hominid. But there are plenty of fossil evidence for other hominid beside Homo sapiens. If you mean only to include existing species and ignore fossil evidence, I would suggest you note that like all the great apes, we are tailless, we are ambulatory with unique use of the arms compared to other group of animals, we have binocular vision like all primates, we share the same Vitamin C defect in our enzymes with apes, Old and New World monkeys and so on.

Yes human existence has unique chararcteristics of language and bipedal motion, but the evidence in the fossil record indicates the movement from a common ancestor to humans as these traits were selected as advantageous.

As to your allusion to the symbiotic relationship. I tend to agree. Evolution isn't about survival of the fittest but the perpetuation of the combinations of genetic material. As such integration as well as competition offers strategies that can be successful in securing the next generation.

There are tons of holes in the theory of evolution, but the most interesting to me is sexual reproduction. All specieis would of had to start out asexual, then as the species evolved they would have to evolve into different sexes and not only become sexually mature at the same time, but also have members of the opposite sex around when they did. If the odds of that happening with 1 species weren't mind boggeling enough, every species of mammal, reptile, fish, and bird evolved to reproduce in the same way, with a sperm fertilizing an egg.
That is 15,500 species of mammals, 20,000 species of fish, 6,000 reptiles, 9,000 birds, and 1,000 amphibians that all happen to evolve from asexual beings, to sexual beings that create either eggs or sperm.

I've really been blown away by some animal studies recently. It's convinced me more than ever that these creatures just couldn't get to their final, efficient, surviving, state by just super small changes over time. There are too many things that have to all be in place for the system to work.

If anyone wants to hear more, I'd love to talk about it. I've been really fascinated by it all. It's really changed my mind on some things.
