That projects to 24 TDs and 4 INTs over a 16 game season. Any QB in the league would take that every year.

Of the QBs in the NFL with 20 or more TD passes this season, none of them have thrown fewer than 10 INTs.

Projection? We don't need a projection-we have his actual stats for every game he's played in. Hypotheticals are just that-something that doesn't exist.

It'll be really interesting to see what the new GM and new coach think about Thigpen. My guess is that he'll be higher on Thigpen (after studying the film) than most on here are.

Yes, but you're missing the point. If Thigpen were accurate, he would be having a monster year.

I like Thigpen. I was one of the few that didn't totally freak out after his first game, when many didn't have the patience, even after one ****ing game.

That said, we cannot strictly run the spread-it hamstrings a team when they get in the red zone. Thiggy is either going to really start training in a pro-set or we will have to look in another direction. We aren't wininng games with him and he tends to be very pedestrian in the 2nd half. The only practical solution is to have an open competition. No way I annoit him the starter at this juncture.

He has his issues but thats very respectable for a 2nd year QB that had never started a game. I imagine his numbers would be better than most first time starting QB's.


Also he has 3 rushing TD's so 20 TD's vs 12 INT but I guess you would need to figure in fumbles as well for total TD's vs turnovers.

The question is how much can he improve.

See reality is just a little different than PROJECTION, huh?
