Chiefs Chiefs have the #1 scoring defense in football after 5 weeks - Page 19

We are only allowing 11.6 points per game...even more impressive is that the second place team is NE at 14 ppg. That's a sizable lead.

Some other rankings after 5 weeks...

1st in sacks
1st in passes defensed
1st in defensive touchdowns
1st in recovered fumbles
3rd in interceptions
7th in yards allowed per game
4th in pass yards allowed per game
21st in rush yards allowed per game (Philly game skewed this one)

Translation: the defense is killin it

You gotta give Alex credit,our recievers aren't really that reliable or go to recievers. And were pretty predictible right now,part of that's Alex but Andy has also said he's not going to really open it up until he feels the team is ready. its only been 5 games and we are winning,relax. You guys in here acting like KC has a rich tradition of superstar qb's who put up big numbers lol.. that's what I would thinkin reading the comments in this thread.

We haven't had a qb who hasn't lost us a game in a long time,Alex Smith has a winning record he came in with and he's contiuing that here. **** what the stats say,they can't be telling the whole story,give him the keys to the city. Haven't been this excited in a long time and he's partially responsible

Tony Romo should be the poster boy for the "It's a team game" poster.

He carries those Cowboys on his back.

Does he make bonehead plays. Or just simply come up short late in games?

Sure.

But if he had any kind of team supporting him, he would viewed on a level just below Aaron Rogers.

Rogers is a great QB, but he rarely breaks his Packers back from late game deficits.
And he has not performed well when he's had to.

because he's having one bad year? A lot of qbs/teams that are normally good are having down years. Eli, Ben, Brady(for obvious reasons), Rogers, Ryan..it seems defenses are figuring out how to stop these guys

So, tell me how other teams were able to get the Giants O-Line to play like crap with backups.

And they did an a amazing job of talking the Steelers into limiting Ben's creative style, and talking Bellechick into letting all of Brady's receivers leave.

it's got some truth though, how many major super stars has Romo had to work with besides Dex Bryant? - TO at the end of his career 5 years ago is the only one i can think of

Wittens a good TE, but no Tony G/Shannon Sharpe.
