Co-Worker Confessions
I had a very uncomfortable situation present itself last night.

I was curious if anyone else has had to deal with this.

I am at a social gathering for my wife's employer. There was a small group of people at the bar including my wife having polite conversation. Some how the subject comes to first dates and dating as teenagers. A co-worker of my wife who was not drunk, States the following " I was really shy as a teenager so I used to get my older brother's drunk and let them have sex with me.

To say the group went silent would be an understatement. I of course throw out "speaking of buggery what do think the Chiefs chances are this year. The group quickly disbanded and stayed away from said co-worker the rest of the night.

Has anyone else had to deal with something like this.

Sure, I've been around plenty of odd conversations with co-workers, especially when drinks were involved... but nothing in the same ballpark as that comment. That is what you call "an ender".

It would have been great if someone had said, "Well, buy me a few drinks and you can call me big brother."

Very odd. You know when people skip over (or vault, as the case may be) social boundries that most of us wouldn't cross, it's likely some form of acting out. Maybe an extremely abusive personal relationship or a substance abuse problem. Maybe something else. Who can tell?
