Battlefield 3

Anyone looking forward to this? I really like BC2, but haven't been playing it long.

Call of Duty will go head-to-head with Battlefield 3 in 2011.

The third game in the series, which will be shown to press during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco next month, is set for release this coming fall, Electronic Arts confirmed.

The publisher revealed the first teaser trailer for the game on its official website tonight. The trailer, which contains no actual gameplay, displays quick cuts of helicopters, ground troops, tanks and fighter jets.

Additional details courtesy of the official Battlefield Blog confirm a full single-player and co-op campaign, jets, prone, and 64-player multiplayer for the PC version. The Frostbite 2 engine will power the game and a Limited Edition will be revealed around GDC.

Developer DICE confirmed earlier this morning it was canceling the release of Battlefield 1943 and the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Onslaught pack for PC.

Anyone got the new guns for any class yet? The Recon one said something about lasering two vehicles or some crap. How does that work? Does it have to be destroyed by something that uses your laser to find the vehicle or what?

Yeah, but what was your score?

Typically my K/D ratios aren't great but I almost always outscore the COD kiddie sniper killwhores.

I had a 3900-ish point round last night (which is quite a bit more than usual), and went 9/9 or something like that.
lots of re-supplies, vehcile kills via mortar, taking out mines/explosives via mortar, spot bonuses, suppression kill assist, flag capture & flag defender points etc.

we also won a match where we had 193 tickets of our original 225 when the match ended. THAT was a fun match. Norshar Canals I beleive..

Still playing Core mode? You should try some Hardcore and see if you would be even better. Could be worse though because even though it takes fewer shots to get kills it also takes less to die.

I'm in the same boat, my K/D usually stinks, but I typically score well.

Winning quick matches is fun, but it's the ones where you win on the last ticket that are the greatest!

I played a few games of Hardcore with Vardar one time and I honestly didn't notice that much of a difference when it came to shooting (at least it's wasn't as stark as the difference in COD games). The reason I disliked it is that you could run over (or be ran over by) your teammates and the FF in general was not to my liking.

definitely. That match with so many tickets remaining was the first time i'd experienced that. Usually the winning/losing team is within 15-30 tickets. We lost one last night by 8. Uggnh. that match lasted for like 27 minutes too.
