Their job in the Super Bowl is to be noticed, make people remember you, and maintain your brand. A lot different from a brand like Chrysler that's trying to get you to notice you, get you to think about buying, get you to think about buying your car specifically, and then convince you to buy after you've weighed 3 or 4 car choices. Chrysler may have gotten people to Step 1. But a Super Bowl ad isn't going to be nearly enough to get them through Steps 2-4. |

As a country Coke and Pepsi own the market. That is due in large part to advertising (over time).
