"The Mist" is a fantastic adaptation of the Book. "Stranger Things" is still tier 1. Too bad its going to be 18 months before next season and the kids will be mid-teens by then. "House of Cards" went off into its own orbit, close to unwatchable. |

Why drop cable when you just end up paying $15 a month for seven different services.

provided the shows i am thinking of are produced by netflix, they are hell bent on plastering their shows with lgbtqxyz content, often times tricking the viewer. sense 8 was a great example. ozarks even with their redneck one who sucks the penis love trist with undercover fbi. even the shows that aren't theirs, they choose gender sensitive material.
our children, by no pressure from us parents, always say they have no desire to watch that type of content in a movie/tv show, so why would all other kids be comfortable with this material. why is it that the mainstream media is shoving this content down our throats (the 99%), to cater to them. what's next? the age of consent is changed from 16 to 12 for all 95 genders? my membership number with netflix is 00000000000002. but we are switching as soon as my wife finishes up a series she is on. |

Amazon Prime Video has more movies and content, or at least good content that isn't their own. Netflix goal I'm sure is to have as much original content as possible, it's probably cheaper.

Big Mouth on Netflix is absolutely outstanding. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I had Netflix DVD/mail until fairly recently in order to watch older and foreign films that were only on DVD. Netflix is not replacing those DVDs. So once all of the copies of a given film break, get lost, or too scratched, that title is no longer available. Ten years ago almost any obscure title that I came across was available on Netflix. It was really remarkable. Today, not so much. |

And most cities had a few video stores that catered to more obscure stuff like art films and foreign films. Netflix came along and provided all those films in a single, convenient place. I was happy to pay for that content. It is now splintering. To be able to have legal access to the same, large, content, you will have to subscribe too many, monthly services. In that environment. I have a lot less sympathy for content owners whining about illegal streaming. Almost nobody is going to subscribe to a dozen different providers. So of course they will look for other options. |

My wife told me the Netflix original series I would like the most is Narcos. I tried watching it once. Couldn't pay attention because I had just gotten home from work at 730a and was tired... I was having a difficult time fighting sleep and reading subtitles at the same time.

I'd like to illegally a portion of your paycheck home with me every week but that's called stealing and I'd go to jail. It's a damn shame that doesn't happen to people that steal content. |

One way, or another, they will get their money. So you want to drop cable? Sure ok. You still have to pay for your ISP at a level that supports your usage and purchase each streaming service you want. After its all said and done, the consumer will always lose. All that said, Hulu streaming has surpassed Netflix streaming for what Netflix initially provided. Eventually ABC, NBC and Fox will all start charging for their streaming services as well then Hulu will have to do the same thing Netflix is doing. With all of that, you still have the live sports problem. Outside WatchESPN and Fox sports, which still requires a cable contract to view, there is still no legal streaming options for sports.
